What generosity! House offers Capitol staff and police free Peloton memberships at your expense – twitchy.com

With so many Americans crushed under the weight of the Biden administration’s disastrous economic policies, it’s more important than ever to be in good shape.

Well, we have good news for you! Apparently the federal government agrees and is doing what it can to make us all healthier.

And by “all of us” we obviously mean “selected civil servants”:

More from Fox Business:

According to a draft email obtained by FOX Business from the office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the “premier employee benefit”, which will also be made available to all Capitol Police, will provide both Peloton All- Access and a subscription to the Peloton app with no monthly costs.

Well, at no monthly cost Theyotherwise:

Beginning May 18, the government contract with fitness giant Peloton, under the efforts of the House Center for Well-Being, will be offered to the approximately 10,000 staff working for the House of Representatives and approximately 2,300 police officers in the Capitol.

A source familiar with the matter told FOX Business that the cost of the contract is an upfront payment of $ 10,000 to Peloton, plus an additional $ 10 per month for each staff member or official who uses the benefit. If 12,000 employees took advantage of the benefit, it would cost taxpayers $ 120,000 a month.

Good questions. The federal government is certainly generous with our money, right?

We are all in favor of promoting fitness, but the government is literally doing it at our expense. When people say “taxation is theft”, this is exactly what they are talking about.

There was no question, but it’s always helpful to be reminded.
