Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has been arrested, charged with criminal tampering, authorities say

Denver Broncos Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was arrested in Colorado on Thursday, authorities confirmed to Fox News Digital.

Jeudy, 23, is being held in Arapahoe County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of 2nd degree criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office. He is detained without constraint.

Under Colorado title 18commits the offense of second degree criminal tampering if “tampering with the property of others with the intent of causing damage, inconvenience or nuisance to that person or to others or if he knowingly makes an abusive connection with goods of a utility.”

The domestic violence enhancer could essentially increase penalties if Jeudy is accused and convicted.

Public information official John Bartmann previously told Fox News that Jeudy would not receive any preferential treatment despite his status as an NFL player.

“He will not receive any preferential treatment,” Bartmann said. “Back to the line.”

Jeudy, the n. 15 overall pick by the Broncos in the 2020 NFL Draft, should be a major receiving target for newly traded quarterback Russell Wilson.

“He could help me a lot. He’s a great quarterback, a Hall of Fame [caliber] quarterback who came on the attack as a leader. [He’s] making me feel better. It will help me a lot this year, ”Jeudy told reporters last week.

Jeudy was hampered by an ankle injury for most of last season, as he played in 10 games and scored 38 catches for 467 yards and failed to score a touchdown.

During his rookie season, Jeudy received 52 passes for 856 yards and scored three touchdowns.
