New York Mets The James McCann receiver will be sidelined for about six weeks after he breaks a bone in his left wrist.

The Mets say McCann needs surgery to repair his broken left bone.

31-year-old McCann was on the 10-day injury list on Friday. Receiver Patrick Mazeika was recalled by Triple-A Syracuse.
