Frankston Hospital: Crane collapses on inpatient unit

A crane has collapsed on Frankston Hospital, with greater than 50 individuals needing to be evacuated.

Hearth Rescue Victoria informed NCA NewsWire emergency providers have been referred to as to the hospital about 10am on Wednesday to studies a crane had fallen on to one of many buildings.

“Crews arrived inside 5 minutes and assisted with the evacuation of roughly 50 occupants, and can stay on scene,” they mentioned.

A caller who recognized herself as Sally informed Melbourne radio station 3AW the crane had fallen on the hospital’s inpatient unit.

Footage printed by the broadcaster present the crane crashing by the hospital’s roof.

“The place has been evacuated,” Sally mentioned.

“It (the crane) is sort of massive.”

To date, no accidents had been reported.
