Brexit leader Nigel Farage says the UK and the Commonwealth could enter an era of “regency”, in which Prince Charles effectively takes over the role of the queen.
Farage said a palace insider told him the queen “didn’t want to be seen in public in a wheelchair or stroller.”
“But inside, he’s absolutely fine – he agrees,” said Mr. Farage.
“We are entering a period where Charles will actually take on his role and I have to say that we will miss him very, very much.”
