Gatik announced the expansion of its Gatik self-driving box truck service into the state of Kansas. Gatik partners with Walmart to deliver automated box truck delivery services which improves delivery efficiency while reducing costs. This service is now available in Kansas following a legislative act from the Kansas governor that allows for self-driving vehicles to run on public roads.
The Gatik self-driving box trucks prioritize safety and the company claims that over its three years of operation it has met and exceeded safety record standards in each state and province of operation. The company will first need to demonstrate that it meets a variety of local requirements in order to deploy in Kansas, but it is a welcome expansion for the automated box truck service.
