Former Prime Minister John Howard says the government’s condemnation of Chinese policies “is in no way a criticism of the Chinese people within our community.”
It comes when Liberal candidate Simon Kennedy launched the Bennelong campaign alongside the former Prime Minister on Saturday.
“What we have called is not the Chinese people; we have wonderful people for the people left; we have recalled a regime that has become more hostile, ”Mr Howard.
